Rostersize started several years ago as a custom project to help a northern Colorado soccer club improve their tryout process. Like many clubs, they understood the importance of having coaches contact each player individually at the end of tryouts to provide feedback on the results and to offer the player (or not) a spot on a team. While this high-touch process provides great customer service, the communication between coaches about which player was assigned to which team, who would make which phone calls, and the need for the club directors to track updates across all teams required several days for the club to complete each season.
After working with the club on the solution, Rostersize was able to dramatically reduce the time for coaches to form teams and coordinate player calls. Rostersize also made it possible for club directors to easily track the call status across all age groups and teams. Overall, the club saw as much as 70% reduction in total communication process, from 5 days down to one and a half. This speedier process helped improve the club's competiveness in new player acquisition compared to other clubs in their region.
